01
Who We Are
Wattr.AI ("Wattr", "we", "us", or "our") operates digital infrastructure management software for water, energy,
and agricultural systems. Our registered business operates under the brand Wattr.AI and
is accessible at wattr.ai.
This Privacy Policy applies to all Wattr applications including but not limited to:
Wattr Survey (field installation and audit tool), the Wattr platform
(web app at app.wattr.ai), and any other applications we publish now or in the future.
Wattr applications are enterprise tools. Access is granted exclusively through
credentials issued by your employer or the organisation operating Wattr for your infrastructure.
We do not offer public self-registration.

We do not collect payment information, social media profiles, contacts from your device's address book,
or any data unrelated to infrastructure management and field operations.
03
How We Use Your Information
- Providing the service — authenticating your account, syncing field data, maintaining asset records, and generating reports for your operations team.
- Infrastructure monitoring — associating survey and telemetry data with specific pump, device, and site records within your organisation's tenant.
- Offline functionality — temporarily storing survey data on your device when connectivity is unavailable, and syncing it when you reconnect.
- Support and diagnostics — using device and error log data to investigate issues and respond to support requests.
- Security — detecting unauthorised access, preventing fraud, and enforcing organisational access controls.
- Product improvement — analysing aggregated usage patterns (never individual records) to improve features and reliability.
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it to third parties, or process it for any purpose
beyond what is described in this policy.
04
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following grounds:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver the Wattr service to your organisation under the agreement between Wattr and your employer.
- Legitimate interests — improving service reliability, preventing misuse, and maintaining security of infrastructure records.
- Legal obligation — retaining records where required by applicable law.
As Wattr is deployed by organisations on behalf of their employees, your employer acts as the data controller
for your account and field data. Wattr acts as a data processor on behalf of your employer.
05
Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
-
Your organisation — field survey data, asset records, and operational reports are shared
with authorised personnel within your employer's tenant on the Wattr platform.
-
Infrastructure providers — we use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store data and run our
infrastructure. AWS acts as a sub-processor under data processing agreements.
-
Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order,
or to protect the rights and safety of users, third parties, or the public.
-
Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data
may be transferred. We will notify affected users and honour existing privacy commitments.
06
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on AWS infrastructure hosted in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) — ap-south-1 region.
We apply industry-standard security controls including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and encryption at rest (AES-256)
- Row-level security ensuring each organisation can only access its own data
- Authentication via AWS Cognito with OTP-based login — no passwords stored
- Role-based access control within your organisation's tenant
- Regular security reviews and automated vulnerability scanning
While we implement strong safeguards, no system is completely immune to risk. We encourage you to
report any suspected security issues to security@wattr.ai.
07
Data Retention
We retain personal data and field records for as long as your organisation's account is active, or as
required to fulfil the purposes described in this policy.
- Active accounts — data is retained for the duration of your organisation's subscription.
- Inactive accounts — data is retained for 12 months after account deactivation, then permanently deleted unless legally required to retain it longer.
- Crash and error logs — retained for 90 days for diagnostic purposes.
- Offline cache on device — cleared automatically after successful sync, or when you log out.
08
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law and your organisation's data management policies, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing carried out under legitimate interests.
Because Wattr is an employer-deployed tool, some requests must be coordinated with your organisation's
administrator. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below or ask your Wattr administrator
to raise the request on your behalf.
09
Children's Privacy
Wattr applications are professional tools intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. We do not
knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has accessed a Wattr
application, please notify us immediately at support@wattr.ai.
10
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date
at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active users via in-app notice or email
at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Continued use of Wattr applications after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
